Developmental Editing
AUD $0.013c – AUD $0.025c per word. A minimum fee of AUD $30.00 is applicable.
Developmental editing is essentially the first stage in the manuscript life-cycle and occurs while the manuscript is in the drafting stage.
Developmental editing will often include everything that’s included in our proofreading and copyediting services.
- Developmental Editing includes reviewing / correcting:
- setting
- timeline
- characterisation
- plot
- story structure
- presentation
- factual accuracy
- Developmental Editing DOES NOT include formatting or style-guide edits
- If the estimate is accepted, 50% of the agreed cost is payable when the manuscript is submitted, with the remainder due on completion. A final word count will be completed and the invoice will be adjusted accordingly.
